Island Čiovo

Island Čiova (28,8km2), located 2km from Split’s cape Marjan is connecting with the land via drawbridge across Trogir canal. Kastelanski bay is closing by island from one side. Čiovo does not have any water flows. Island is on the protective area so it is great place for growing of south fruits

Island Čiovo became in last years to be a location, where is possible to built new houses around Trogir. Island has a beautiful bays, the biggest one is the bay Saklun near Trogir and Donji Seget. The favourite small bays are Duga, Tatinja, Moravstica, and etc. By the southwest coast are some small islands, in the sea around are great conditions for fishing. At island are reminds of old buildings, near Supetar bay are reminds of church of St. Petr, in Čiovo is Romans church Gospa kraj mora. In the village Zedno is church of St. Maura.
